Do you have what it takes? Imagine two teams competing head-to-head to answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, sports, and popular culture. Spend the week practicing with questions and learning all the rules of a real tournament, with the guidance of your coach. At the end of the week, be the first to hit the buzzer and help lead your team to victory!

Have you ever wished you could tell everyone exactly what you think of the latest fad? Have you ever left a movie and found yourself unable to stop talking about it? At Young Critics Camp, your opinion matters! Campers from grades 5 through 8 will experience the entire journalistic process as they report on movies, restaurants, and a few other events that lend themselves to spreading the word. Campers will be guided through both written and on-screen reviews. Laptops or other devices used for word processing are encouraged!

What’s summer without grammar? We thoroughly explore the eight parts of speech, the foundation of all grammar study. Students become more familiar with the functions of words and how they work together within a sentence.
